About Angels

Excerpt from Sunday Chat Line 12/02/01

The Lord has consistently answered our prayers whenever we have asked Him to send His Angels; therefore, we feel an obligation to tell all who have an ear to hear.

Then, suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands. And he (the Angel of the Lord) said to me, "O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you." While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling. Then he said to me, "Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words." Daniel 10-12

Have you ever felt the sensation of goose bumps and tingling come over you during a good praise and worship service? Have you ever wondered how people are slain in the spirit? We have not because we ask not. This also applies to learning more about the things of God. Some are still saying they will ask the Lord about verses of scripture or events recorded in Bible when they get to heaven. Why not ask Him NOW! Jesus has promised us that we can know all things by the Holy Spirit.

Nothing is hidden that shall not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear. Mark 4:22,23

When the Saints of the Lord come together to pray, praise, and worship, the Lord's Angels will enter into the midst of the them. This is when we begin to see people saved and the gifts of the Holy Spirit manifested. It is recorded in the scriptures that the angels are in our presence to deliver to the Father our confessions.

"Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God." Luke 12:8,9

There is good reason for having the lost come before the congregation after accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Their angel will go before the face of the Father, rejoicing that their name has been added to the Lamb's Book of Life.

Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. Luke 15:10

Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angles always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. Matthew 18:10

This verse tells us that those who give their lives to the Lord shall be saved from eternal damnation and an angel will be appointed by God to watch over them. Over the past few years, there have been many books and television programs which focused on Angels in our midst. There is no doubt that there is an abundance of Angels encamped about the Body of Christ. As the people of God join together and pray the Father's will, we see in the spirit realm Angels released to do His word.

In the early church we find that as the saints and disciples prayed, Peter's Angel was sent from heaven to set him free. Peter had been thrown into prison for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. As the Saints were praying, an Angel of the Lord entered his prison cell and struck him on the side and told him to get up. Supernaturally, Peter's prison chains fell off of him as he stood in between two prison guards. The Angel told him to put on his sandals and clothes and follow him. Peter did not know whether the Angel was real or if he was just seeing a vision. He and the Angel walked past two check points within the prison unnoticed. When they reached the outer gate, it opened on its own. When he had walked about a block from the prison gates, the Angel left him. Peter then went to the house of John Mark's mother where the disciples and saints were praying for him. (ref. Acts 12:4-16)

When we pray the will of God, His Angels are commissioned to respond to our request. There are many testimonies in this century of people who have had visitations from Angels appearing in various forms. Some describe angels as having human form. Others have reported a brilliant light speaking to them with a voice that sounded like running water or a heavy rain storm. We cannot limit the forms God selects to reveal His Angels.

"Father, glorify Your name," Then a voice came from heaven, saying, "I have both glorified it an will glorify it again." Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, "An angel has spoken to Him." Jesus answered and said, "This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sake." John 12:28-30

A similar occurrence was reported in June of 1933. As William Branham was preparing to baptize 17 people in the Ohio River, a bright star appeared over him. This event was reported by the local newspaper and witnessed by many people that day. Now I am not a Branhamnite, but if the Lord chose to use this man, signifying his ministry with such marvelous signs, who am I to speak against him or his ministry? There are many more testimonies about the Angel that walked with William Branham. Studying this man and his ministry has taught me that the gifts of the Spirit and the visitation of Angels parallel in many ways.
