Created In His Image

Excerpt from Sunday Chat Line 02/24/02

God exists in three parts: Body, Soul and Spirit. First, the Soul is the Father. Soul is defined as the mind, will and emotion of a person. Jesus said He only did the will of the Father. He also said that if you have seen Him, you have seen the Father. How is this? The Soul, you cannot see and the Spirit, you cannot see. Therefore, God took upon the flesh of man through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Body of the Godhead. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit without measure. In other words, He was the Holy Spirit. Or the Holy Spirit was contained in Him only. All of us have a Body. Most of us have a Soul (mind, will and emotion). Not everyone has the Holy Spirit. In I Corinthians Chapter 15, we see that we are born with the spirit of sin through Adam who fell miserably before God. To be born-again, we must receive the Spirit of the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. He is the second Adam, the life-giving Adam. The first Adam was the first-born of the dying. Jesus (the second Adam) is the redeeming vessel for those who would rather live.

We are created in the image of God. In three parts we are created in His image. We have a Soul and a Spirit and a Body. Jesus was the Body form of God. God the Father is the Soul of God And the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.

You have a Soul that determines your expressions and your will. Our will has to be conformed into the will of God by the Holy Spirit (God) speaking to our spirit. We can know His will for our lives. This is a process that takes a life time to discover for most. However, we can find the will of God for our lives quicker if we will first die to our will.

God the Father (Soul of God) was rejected by the Jews. They wanted a king that they could see. They did not want to be governed by a spirit. They wanted a king over them like all of the other nations. So, God came down from heaven in the form of man, Jesus. King of the Jews. They rejected Jesus as well, the Son of God. The first born of many.

Jesus gave a parable to the Jews about this event. He said, 'There was a landowner who sent His servants (the prophets) to collect the rent. The rent for the vineyard that they were profiting from. When the landowner sent His servants to collect they beat them and ran them off. So the landowner decided to send His Son. They would respect Him. When the Son went to collect what was His Father's, they beat Him and killed Him. Then Jesus asked the Jews, 'What do you think should be done to these people? They said, 'They should be killed.' Jesus, replied, 'So have you judged yourselves.'
