FAST from Doubt

Today is a good time to start changing the way you think. Every time you meditate on a negative thought you are doubting God's promises for your life. The greatest spiritual battles take place in the mind. Fasting from negative thoughts will all you to begin hearing God and receiving His blessings. Dwelling on the negative allows Satan to have his destructive way with you. You choose whom you will serve by what you allow your mind to feed upon; therefore fast from doubt and disbelief and begin living the abundant life of Christ.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8,9

Too Much TV will Kill YOU!

One of the fastest growing problems in our Nation today is depression. I am not speaking of the economic depression, but rather the mental illness, depression; it is literally killing thousands. The major contributor to the impartation of this mental disease begins right in our own living room. TV News today is grafting images into our minds and stealing our happiness with thoughts of destruction. We must STOP NOW and get a hold of our thoughts. God is in control of tomorrow, and He will take care of us no matter what happens. AMEN?

Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. Acts 19:11,12

Called A Pastor

The Lord calls men to shepherd His flock. But nowhere in Scripture does God call His people a herd. They are a flock, and the leaders are called shepherds. There is one distinctive thing about sheep; they cannot be driven. You can drive a herd of cattle...but you cannot drive sheep. They must be led!

Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. Acts 20:28

Reprobate Minds

The difference between the saved sinner and the unsaved sinner is that the former sins by default while the latter sins by design.

This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Titus 1:13-16

Be Anxious for Nothing

Charles H. Davis tells of a man who was hiking on a mountain. Caught up in the wonder of the landscape he lingered on the trail and darkness overtook him. Feeling his way down the mountain side, he slipped and fell over a cliff. As he fell he managed to grab a tree limb and he hung on for what seemed like hours, hoping someone would happen along and give him a hand. Finally, no longer able to hold his grip, he turned loose and plunged down a full six inches to the ground. Only six inches from safety, yet he suffered in terror. Why do we hang in fear when we can trust God for safe keeping? When things look tough, look up and trust.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6,7

Just Do IT!

It does precious little good to memorize the prescription if one doesn't take the medicine. A mere knowledge of what the Scriptures say may add to our guilt instead of relieving it. There must be application in order for it to work.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. James 1:22-24

The Beginning of Communism in America

Joy Davidman quotes a Communist who said to her: "Of course we're imprisoning our opponents and silencing the press and executing hostile elements. But it's only a temporary expedient, necessary to the ultimate goal."

COMMUNISM
Meaning: a way of organizing a society in which the government owns the things that are used to make and transport products (such as land, oil, factories, ships, etc.) and there is no privately owned property ~Merriam-Webster's Learner's Dictionary~

The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.” Psalms 2:2,3

Thankful for Dirty Dishes

Thank God for dirty dishes;
They have a tale to tell.
While other folks go hungry;
We're eating pretty well.

With home, and health,
and happiness,
We shouldn't want to fuss;
For by the stack of evidence,
God's very good to us.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:15-17

Building Character Through Tribulations

Whenever God gives us a cross to bear, it is a prophecy that will also give us strength. As a knot appears unexpectedly in a thread, so disappointment blocks the smoothness of life. If a few masterful strokes can untangle the mess, life continues evenly; but if it cannot be corrected, then it must be quietly woven into the design. Thus the finished piece can still be beautiful though not as perfect as planned.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:1-5

Confirming God's Prophetic Word

There will be an abundance of static in the heavens in 2011. Caution will demand that we will need confirmation for every prophetic word we receive. If the word comes through a prophecy or whether you hear God's voice directly you will need confirmation. Either way you do not want to step out on any one's word without first receiving confirmation through two or more witnesses. You must know that the word is from God and most of all know when to move on the word. Timing will be everything, do not get ahead of God's will.

And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:19-21

Season for Sharing and Caring

"Realize that true happiness lies within you. Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world outside. Remember that there is no happiness in having or in getting, but only in giving. Reach out. Share. Smile. Hug. Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself." Og Mandino

Acts 20:35 - In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'

Pray if you want to!

CBS and Katie Couric must be in a panic and rushing to reassure the White House that this is not network policy.

Folks, this is the year that we RE-TAKE AMERICA & CANADA***** Get Ready

Keep this going around the globe.
Read it and forward every time you receive it...
We can't give up on this issue.

Andy Rooney and Prayer

I don't believe in Santa Claus, but I'm not going to sue somebody for singing a Ho-Ho-Ho song in December. I don't agree with Darwin, but I didn't go out and hire a lawyer when my high school teacher taught his theory of evolution.

Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered in any way because someone says a 30-second prayer before a football game.

So what's the big deal?

It's not like somebody is up there reading the entire Book of Acts. They're just talking to a God they believe in and asking him to grant safety to the players on the field and the fans going home from the game.

But it's a Christian prayer, some will argue.

Yes, and this is the United States of America, and Canada, countries founded on Christian principles. According to our very own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200-to-1. So what would you expect -- somebody chanting Hare Krishna?

If I went to a football game in Jerusalem, I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer. If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad, I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer. If I went to a ping pong match in China, I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha. And I wouldn't be offended. It wouldn't bother me one bit. When in Rome.....

But what about the atheists? Is another argument. What about them?

Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We're not going to pass the collection plate. Just humour us for 30 seconds. If that's asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of ear plugs. Go to the bathroom. Visit the concession stand. Call your lawyer! Or, just exercise their right to leave this country!

Unfortunately, one or two will call their lawyer. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's foundations.

Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying.

God, help us. And if that last sentence offends you, well, just sue me.

The silent majority has been silent too long. It's time we tell that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard that the vast majority doesn't care what they want! It is time that the majority rules! It's time we tell them, "You don't have to pray; you don't have to say the Pledge of Allegiance; you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right; but by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away. We are fighting back, and we WILL WIN!"

God bless us one and all...Especially those who denounce Him, God bless America and Canada, despite all our faults, we are still the greatest nations of all.
God bless our service men who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God.

Let's make 2010 the year the silent majority is heard and we put God back as the foundation of our families and institutions. And our military forces come home from all the wars.

Keep looking up.

If you agree with this, please pass it on. If not delete it. BUT REMEMBER SHOULD YOU DELETE IT, that's one reason why this world is in the mess we're in now.

WE JUST SIT BACK & LET IT HAPPEN!!

Created for His Great Pleasure

God created us for His great pleasure that He may have fellowship with mankind. Therefore, as we are created in His image we too should find ourselves having fellowship with one another as a godly act of existence.

"So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." Genesis 1:27,28

Who is Telling the Truth

Many are saying that Christianity hasn't kept pace with the times. But the fact is the times haven't kept pace with Christianity. Christianity is concerned with truth, and truth is as irreversible and unchanging as are the basic needs of mankind to which it is universally relevant. -author unknown

This is He who came by water and blood-Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.

If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son. He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. I John 5:6-13

It's Not Enough Just to Read the Bible

We all need to have a personal relationship with JESUS and allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us by whatever means He has made available.

To call upon God's Prophets for direction is very much part of God's plan; however, He would rather you seek Him directly. Although, this is not easy for most to do being they are constantly focused upon their jobs, families and/or school. This is why God has called this ministry, along with many other, to be there for His people. He has appointed them to the church for this purpose, read the Scripture below.

NOTE: Not all who prophesy are prophets, but all prophets do operate in the gift of prophesy, words of wisdom and words of knowledge (ref. 1 Corinthians . chapter 12).

(Jesus said) You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. John 5:39,40

Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.

When to Seek a Prophet

Before making an investment or major change in your life it would be wise to ask a God who you are to seek for Prophetic Counseling. It is very typical of most folks wait to contact a Prophet after everything is in shambles rather than before they make their decision.

“He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.” Matthew 10:40-42

THINGS to COME

One of the greatest promises our Lord Jesus gave us can be found in the gospel of John. In the verses below we find that all that Jesus told His disciples is not all they needed to know. When the Holy Spirit was given to them, and us as well, something great happened. We were promised that He the Holy Spirit would tell us of Things to Come! Also, He declared that all the Father had given Him was now given to us. It is true, we can know all things through Christ Jesus even Things to Come.

I (Jesus) still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you THINGS TO COME. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. John 16:12-15

You Can Trust One Who Gives

A person who is always giving of their time and money toward the assistance of others is someone you trust. On the other hand, those who choose to just take and use people for their own agenda cannot be trusted. Therefore, it is never safe to do business or get into a relationship with a person who just takes, because they will eventually take your money and break your heart.

If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. 27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. James 1:26

Slave to Our Stuff

Yes, we are to count our blessing of the things God has provided for us. However, there are times when we acquire too much stuff and we become consumed (i.e. consumer). To be consumed by all this stuff is to become a slave to maintaining the rights to possess so many toys. Computers, cars, boats, motorcycles, properties all become masters of our own domain. When the computer gets sick with a virus we are consumed with the problem. The insurance, inspection stickers, licensing and keeping on our vehicles and toys clean and legal can rob us of precious time. Even our pets can dominate our schedules forcing us to wait upon them hand and foot. Stop the madness and prioritize your life and focus on what is more important.

"Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses." Luke 12:15b
