It is hard to believe that the war in Afghanistan has lasted longer than any war in America’s history. Yet we all seem to have lost touch with the fact that many men and women are serving and losing their lives. We must continue to keep them in our prayers along the way.

During the Bush administration the media posted the number of lives lost almost daily, seemingly with the intent of slamming the administration. However, the daily reminder of the horror our men and women faced kept most of us praying for them. I have to admit I too had become lax in my prayers and thoughts of these courageous people until this past August, 2010. Many of you may remember Wes Arnold, my late wife’s older brother. Well, he and two of his other brothers are now in Afghanistan as contracted support for our troops. Not only have Wes, Lee and Steven signed up to serve in the cause there, Wes’s older son, Sterling, and Lee’s older son, Levi, are also serving our country’s war effort. It has been reported that even though they are on a base that is considered to be a safe zone, they have come under mortar and rocket attack. Many troops and civilian contractors have lost their lives within the green zone. Needless to say we now PRAY daily for all who are serving in this war.

One of the CD’s we are including in our Partners’ gift is a CD of Prophetic Praise songs that Wes, Lee, Steven and Lee’s wife recorded some years back. Some of you may already have the CD. We are asking that you will keep them all, including the families state side, in your prayers. If you already have a copy of the album, would you pass it on to someone and ask them to pray too? It is very hard on the wives and children they leave behind, as you can imagine. Wes and the boys have been instrumental in, not just physically, but spiritually helping many there, as this has become their season of ministering to all who are in harm’s way.

Faith to Faith

Part 2 – God’s Will

Jesus did signs and wonders in many different ways. Sometime he spit on them, sometimes he said, “Go, you are healed”. Sometimes he prayed for them and laid hands on them. Other times, people laid hands on Him and Jesus said, “Who touched me?” such as the woman who had an issue of blood. He said, “Your faith has healed you.” It wasn’t because the woman believed harder than anybody else. It was not by her knowledge. It was not by her belief. It was by faith which is a gift of God! Faith is not something you do. It is something that happens to you. You can not “do” a gift. You do not conjure a gift.

Comments and Testimonies

For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.      ~ Rev. 19:10b

Prophecy is the testimony that Jesus is not dead but Alive and Speaking to you and I.
Kent Simpson,
Prophetic Pastor

Dear Kent,

Thank you so very much for your CD of prophetic Word to Becki and Ranko Goronja. Of course, at first they were so taken back to hear these things on CD, but Becki said it really helped soothe and encourage them in their situation, especially when they listened to the CD a couple of more times and digested it.

She said it was definitely a sign to renew their involvement in the Bosnian community when they returned home. Shortly after they listened to your Word from the Lord, there was a wedding invitation given to them from another Bosnian family. Becki said she had neglected these ties for a couple of years and they were all but erased from their Eastern European community’s consciousness. However, this was such a sign to them to renew their ties.

Becki was so grateful, and they are not losing heart with the present jobless situation. They are grateful for your uncompromising directness that a new job would not happen necessarily too soon for Ranko, but they would have to be patient. Of course Guy is worried to lose Becki to moving to another area, she has become indispensible as an employee. They are dear, dear people who have very good work ethic and character. They have had a rough road.
