The Anointing
Elijah threw his “mantle” onto Elisha, which led to Elisha following in Elijah’s footsteps and ministering in the same ways as Elijah. A mantle is a symbolic representation of the anointing. The Lord said to Elijah, “Go and anoint, as prophet in your place, Elijah.” This led to the mantle being thrown onto Elisha.
Each mantle and anointing is unique. There are various types of anointings, and we need to find out what God reveals to us about our individual anointing. How do they function? What are they used for? Do we have to sit under someone and learn from them to receive a mantle? It is important to know the anointings of those we associate with.
Spiritual Nerds
A “spiritual nerd” is someone who is narrow-minded spiritually, and who lacks common sense. They can’t rationalize between what is truth and what is formula. A “nerd” will only work in one way – through formulas. If you don’t have a formula or an equation to figure something out, it is not real. Factual evidence is needed to believe in something spiritual.
The Pharisees were much like this. They knew all the prophecies and the scriptures, but didn’t recognize the Messiah when He was right in front of them. Today, we cannot afford to be spiritual nerds, or like the Pharisees of Jesus’s day. It is not enough to just know the scriptures, you must also know God’s heart behind them, or what He meant by them. We cannot assume anything, or we will wind up with God’s judgment.
His Ultimate Word
Jesus was the perfect symbol of what God called His Son to be. Moses failed. Elijah and Elisha failed. Even Abraham failed, but Jesus never did. What did Jesus do that made Him perfect? He did everything the Father told Him to do all the way to the cross.
It’s a lot easier to believe what the devil says than to believe and obey what God says. We do it all the time! Any negative news that comes our way, we believe it right away. But let God say something to us, and we doubt it, or even question whether or not we heard Him. His voice is almost foreign to us today. Hearing Him should become a normal, everyday occurrence in our lives. His voice is so gentle, if you are caught up in your own emotions and thoughts you may miss Him.
Cafeteria Christians
Before delivering this message I needed confirmation. Confirmation came as I was reading the daily newspaper. A church in Houston, Texas is having a McDonald’s cafeteria constructed in their new fellowship hall. That was my green light to deliver this word.
And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”
“Cafeteria Christians” are Christians who desire to live only by the portions of the Bible that feels good. To keep our spirit man healthy, we must be willing to accept whatever God puts on our plate. Every word from God offers a measure of salvation to those who do not complain.

Called Out by God
When our young men and women signed the dotted line to enlist in the armed forces, they never thought they were signing up for war. Going from three squares and a roof over their head to eating Iraqi dust mixed with their one meal for the day. The commitment they have made is real and now they are earning their metals of honor. They are giving their everything so that we may continue to live in a free land.
Spiritual warfare is real and you will be called out to serve in the Kingdom of God.

Called and Chosen
This DVD contains footage from our attempt to reach the lost who are seeking a word from the psychics who are located in the French Quarters in the city of New Orleans.
You will see me going to one of the psychics and asking about her so called “gift”. I found out that she is a Jew and has two degrees in religion, one being of the Christian faith. However, she was not cordial to anyone who was called a Christian.

Greater Works
Recently, I had the great pleasure of ministering at Magnolia Full Gospel Baptist Church in Saint Francisville, Louisiana. During the first meeting, in which a video was made for this months DVD, I shared from the scriptures that reveal Jesus’ promise of greater gifts for those who believe.
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
John 14:12
Today, I do not see anyone whose ministering is so powerful that it would be seen as greater works than what Jesus did. Jesus refers to the workings of the spiritual gifts recorded in 1 Corinthians 12:1-11. He says that we will do greater works such as He did prior to His crucifixion. We are definitely missing a crucial step in our spiritual walk, because we are not seeing this measure of power in our Churches or Ministries.
Jesus is now sitting at the right hand of our Heavenly Father making intercession for you and me, the people of the church. If we will strive to hear His voice and do as He commands us we too will begin to see signs and wonders. I truly believe that if we practice doing as Jesus did, we too will be able to do these greater works He promised us. The verse below tells us how Jesus lived and ministered in the power of the Holy Spirit; I believe this to be the missing link that is creating this short circuit effect within our churches.
Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
John 14:10
In conclusion, it is not we who will do these works but He who lives within us. Many of us cannot seem to allow God to take full control of our lives in fear of what others make think. We must put God’s will ahead of our own and let Him have full reign in our lives; then the greater works will soon follow.
By Whose Authority
On May of 1988, I preached my first sermon in a United States Federal Penitentiary. The title of the sermon was “By Whose Authority.”
“Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.”
Romans 13:1,2
In this room full of convicts, many were not saved and others were still learning the way of our Lord. I spoke on how the prison guards and their warden are appointed by God. Although this is definitely a Biblical truth, needless to say, it didn’t go over very well.
It’s a scary situation to have a few hundred upset and angry prisoners, wanting to argue about what I’d just preached. One burly bald-headed inmate covered in tattoos got in my face had decided to impart his thoughts with his fist. Thankfully, God’s appointees were close at hand and returned the angry inmate to his cell.

This statement does not set well with many in the Lord but this is the way it is. I know that a few of our government authorities here in the United States as well as elsewhere are not godly and have committed some hideous and heinous acts. All of which are sin. In every profession you will find people who walk in sin. Even ministers sometimes walk out from under the will of God and do things that are worldly. God uses the just and the unjust to fulfill His will on earth. Look at Pharaoh. He was used to drive the children of Israel out of Egypt (ref. Romans 9:14-18).
Who, or what, is God using to drive you away from the things of the world? Do you show honor toward those who are enforcing the laws of the land? Can those in the United States really believe that God is in charge of those who govern this great nation? How about those of you in other countries with strong governments? This message I am privileged to give to the chosen ones of God, to my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, delivers peace in troubled times.
God’s New Apostles
It is not all together clear to me how this all works. However, what I have seen is that there will come a time soon when outsourcing of American businesses will open a huge door for networking with Christians in other countries. As America’s economy continues to take a downward turn we will see other countries begin to excel. Not all countries will have great success, but those that do, will become a large source of revenue for this new Christian networking group.
American land and businesses are being sold to foreign interests in astounding numbers.
It will not take many more years before we will find the great U.S.A. under new management. This will force many in the U.S. to seek other countries for secondary citizenship. This global economy makes for global residence.
In this, we will find the connections we need to start networking and creating this grass roots foundation.
The effort is to build global Christian communities that work together for the Church of the New Millennium. Many Christian families will work within the structure that creates jobs for those who cannot find suitable positions in the secular work place.
The Apostles of today, like Joseph of old, will become rulers over these global Christian communities. They will have the ability to build this international network of followers.
These pioneering Apostles will become the new Shepard’s over God’s people seeing that they work together, stay together, and pray together.
