Reprobate Minds

The difference between the saved sinner and the unsaved sinner is that the former sins by default while the latter sins by design.

Reprobate Minds

Word of the Week

This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Titus 1:13-16

The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.

Thank you so very much for this timely word. It is encouraging to know inside after this scam that I will be welcomed with open arms to teach. Through the few days that I thought I would go to London and speaking I came up with all kinds of ideas and little revelations so it really helped me in the end. I really do want to help set people free and it is more important than any other things that are going on.

Thank you again for the word and God bless you. I pray that God gives you and Savannah even more peace and happiness in your hearts.

Be Anxious for Nothing

Charles H. Davis tells of a man who was hiking on a mountain. Caught up in the wonder of the landscape he lingered on the trail and darkness overtook him. Feeling his way down the mountain side, he slipped and fell over a cliff. As he fell he managed to grab a tree limb and he hung on for what seemed like hours, hoping someone would happen along and give him a hand. Finally, no longer able to hold his grip, he turned loose and plunged down a full six inches to the ground. Only six inches from safety, yet he suffered in terror. Why do we hang in fear when we can trust God for safe keeping? When things look tough, look up and trust.

Be Anxious for Nothing

Word of the Week

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6,7

Kent,

I just wanted to let you know that Carla and I are seeing a lot of what God spoke through you coming true right now.

Some of what you said is that God was changing my doctrine. Well He did and is. And I have felt the effects of men who don’t agree along with those who do.

Plus there were things said about me sending my resume out wanting to preach. And God kept saying wait. Well, that part has been going on. I will be in Texas the Sunday after Thanksgiving to preach at a friends church. Which is something that just came up out of the blue. Praise God for all He is and all He does. Amen!

Lost in Prayer

It is hard to believe that the war in Afghanistan has lasted longer than any war in America’s history. Yet we all seem to have lost touch with the fact that many men and women are serving and losing their lives. We must continue to keep them in our prayers along the way.

During the Bush administration the media posted the number of lives lost almost daily, seemingly with the intent of slamming the administration. However, the daily reminder of the horror our men and women faced kept most of us praying for them. I have to admit I too had become lax in my prayers and thoughts of these courageous people until this past August, 2010. Many of you may remember Wes Arnold, my late wife’s older brother. Well, he and two of his other brothers are now in Afghanistan as contracted support for our troops. Not only have Wes, Lee and Steven signed up to serve in the cause there, Wes’s older son, Sterling, and Lee’s older son, Levi, are also serving our country’s war effort. It has been reported that even though they are on a base that is considered to be a safe zone, they have come under mortar and rocket attack. Many troops and civilian contractors have lost their lives within the green zone. Needless to say we now PRAY daily for all who are serving in this war.

One of the CD’s we are including in our Partners’ gift is a CD of Prophetic Praise songs that Wes, Lee, Steven and Lee’s wife recorded some years back. Some of you may already have the CD. We are asking that you will keep them all, including the families state side, in your prayers. If you already have a copy of the album, would you pass it on to someone and ask them to pray too? It is very hard on the wives and children they leave behind, as you can imagine. Wes and the boys have been instrumental in, not just physically, but spiritually helping many there, as this has become their season of ministering to all who are in harm’s way.

Faith to Faith

Part 2 – God’s Will

Jesus did signs and wonders in many different ways. Sometime he spit on them, sometimes he said, “Go, you are healed”. Sometimes he prayed for them and laid hands on them. Other times, people laid hands on Him and Jesus said, “Who touched me?” such as the woman who had an issue of blood. He said, “Your faith has healed you.” It wasn’t because the woman believed harder than anybody else. It was not by her knowledge. It was not by her belief. It was by faith which is a gift of God! Faith is not something you do. It is something that happens to you. You can not “do” a gift. You do not conjure a gift.

Dear Kent,

Thank you so very much for your CD of prophetic Word to Becki and Ranko Goronja. Of course, at first they were so taken back to hear these things on CD, but Becki said it really helped soothe and encourage them in their situation, especially when they listened to the CD a couple of more times and digested it.

She said it was definitely a sign to renew their involvement in the Bosnian community when they returned home. Shortly after they listened to your Word from the Lord, there was a wedding invitation given to them from another Bosnian family. Becki said she had neglected these ties for a couple of years and they were all but erased from their Eastern European community’s consciousness. However, this was such a sign to them to renew their ties.

Becki was so grateful, and they are not losing heart with the present jobless situation. They are grateful for your uncompromising directness that a new job would not happen necessarily too soon for Ranko, but they would have to be patient. Of course Guy is worried to lose Becki to moving to another area, she has become indispensible as an employee. They are dear, dear people who have very good work ethic and character. They have had a rough road.

Just Do IT!

It does precious little good to memorize the prescription if one doesn’t take the medicine. A mere knowledge of what the Scriptures say may add to our guilt instead of relieving it. There must be application in order for it to work.

Just Do It

Word of the Week

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
James 1:22-24
