Then Joseph, Mary’s husband, knew that his wife was pregnant and he needed to protect her reputation. “While he thought about these things, behold, an Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you and your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. She will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:20-21)

There is no one in history that has been given more names or titles than Jesus Christ. If you’ve read through the Bible carefully then you know what I mean. Throughout the pages of Holy Writ over 100 names and titles are given to Jesus. And whether He is called “Bright morning star, Wonderful Counselor, the Root of Jesse, the Alpha and the Omega, or the Lamb of God”, each of these names and titles is rich with meaning. They all say something significant about who Jesus is. However, there is one name that is very significant this time of year “Immanuel“. This name, which Matthew refers to in his Gospel (Matthew 1:23), was first given to Jesus by the prophet Isaiah 700 years before His birth (Isaiah 7:14). And this very special Christmas name, as Matthew tells us, means “God with us.” Jesus Christ, Yahshua is Immanuel,God with us,” and I’d like to share why this is so meaningful at Christmas time.

    Angel Proclaims His Purpose:
“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

    Angel Declares the Prophecy:
So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet (Isaiah 7:14), saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

    Angel Delivers His Name:
“Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name Jesus.” (Matthew 1:21-25)

When Paul preached to the pagans of Lystra (in Acts 14) He reminded them that the true God, the Creator, had always been with them, giving them witness of Himself by providing them with rains, fruitful seasons, and giving them food and glad hearts. Thus, God has always been with His creation in the sense that He, who is everywhere, has showered all mankind with blessings — despite their sin.

    Angel Delivers a Warning:
“Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.” (Matthew 2:13)

So great was His love for His fallen creation, for you and for me, that He left His glory to come here. And through His perfect life and death on the cross He broke down the wall of separation that our sin had built and reconciled us to Himself; as it is written “God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them.” (2 Co. 5:19). Through Jesus Christ, Immanuel, our sins are forgiven and we have fellowship with our Creator again.

    Angel Clears the Way:
“…when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the young Child’s life are dead.” (Matthew 2:19-20)

Immanuel, in this one name, everything mankind needs and the entire plan of God’s salvation is culminated. How blessed we are that Jesus Christ, Yahshua became Immanuel, God with us. May His Angles be all about you and your family during this special Holy Day.

Angels Watching Our Children

Angels Watching Our Children

[cvm_video id=”3923″]

One beautiful summer day in July, 1976 something happened that started me on a quest to find out how this supernatural event took place. My first born was 3 years old. We had just arrived home from work after my wife and I had picked up our daughter from the home of the lady who watched over her each day. The first thing I would do when I gone home each day would be get out of my suit and tie and put on my work jeans and old shirt. Get into my old pickup truck and ride out to the pasture, work on the fence and check on the cattle. We did not have many neighbors but recently a new family from California moved into a large home across the highway from our little ranch house. They had just finished having a new swimming pool put in behind their house. Wanting to be good neighbors they invited my family to come swim and we did so the previous weekend.

As I was jumping into my jeans I heard our cattle dog barking. Well, he never barked unless someone was coming up the drive to our house. I worked my way over to the bedroom window and looked out but couldn’t see any vehicles; although, Boots was aggressively warning us something was wrong. He would bark looking across the road and then turn barking back at toward the house. That is when I caught a glimpse of top of my little girl’s head running across the highway toward the new neighbor’s home. Scared and feeling rushed I hollered out to my wife, “The baby is running across the road.” Her mother was in the hall restroom, when I screamed out the danger she jumped out into the middle of the hallway, pulled up her jeans and sprinted out the door and up the drive toward the neighbors. Standing outside dressed and waiting for their return. Then I saw her mother walking over the highway fussing as the baby girl was crying. Soon as we were close enough to talk she angerly reported that our daughter was standing at the edge of the swimming pool when she found her. Now, we realized that if she had jumped into the swimming pool without us knowing she would have definitely drowned before being found. Thanks to our dog, Boots, we had been spared a great deal of guilt and despair. I was amazed that the dog knew she was not suppose to go over that way without us; but how did he know to vigorously alarm us?

Years later when my daughter was 13 I really began to understood that God had His angels watching over our children. You know how teenagers can get! She wanted to go on a date. I told her; “Well, I’m not having any boy come pick you up and take you on a date. I’ll take you to the movies I want to meet this guy. Then I’ll pick you up.” I made her promise me she would not get in his car or go with him anywhere else. She had to stay in the movie until I came to get her. She replied; “Oh, I’ll do what you asked Daddy, I’ll do it.”

I go and meet the boy, and I don’t feel too sure about him, but I’m trusting God. Couple of hours later while home watching T.V. God suddenly says, “You know, parents always run late picking their kids up.” I thought about that a minute. I knew it was not enough to hear God; we’ve got to know what He means, and that takes years. He was basically saying “Go pick her up early.”

I get there early. The entire mall is locked up except the exit doors to the movies so I watch everybody come out, and I’m parked at the curb right in front of the doors so I could see everyone coming out but I didn’t see my daughter. All of a sudden, she comes running up to the side of the car. She jumps in the car crying, saying this boy dropped her off on the side of the road. I said, “Wait a minute. You told me you wouldn’t leave here.”

She said, “I know Daddy, but-.” I said, “But nothing. I want his parents to know and I’m going to call them. No boy is going to do that to my daughter.”

As we’re driving home, we passed our house. She said, “We just passed the house.” I said, “I know, we’re going up to the church because we’re going to call his parents.” I was the pastor of the church back then.

She said, “But you can’t do that Daddy. You don’t know his number.”

She was feeling really confident, thinking I was lost and not going to call his parents. She never gave me the number. I go in my little office and pick up the trashcan and put it on the desk. I start digging through it. And she’s getting a little haughty, you know. She’s thinking she’s got me over a barrel. I picked out this piece of paper and turn it around to show it to her.

“Look, is that his number?” She turned white! I mean like chalk. I said, “You have one more chance. You tell me the truth about everything that happened. Everything you’ve done, or I’m calling them.” She broke, confessed to everything.

After we had a heart to heart talk I found out what the problem was. The reason why she got so rebellious, was because her baby sister was close to being delivered and she was afraid she was going to lose her daddy to this new baby. Of course, we know that wasn’t going to happen. I was barely able hold our new born because my oldest daughter was holding her all the time!

My point is that you as a parent need to know what’s going on with your children all the time because you can know! God will tell you. He will let you know what you need to do. We’ve just got to be in tune with His voice. Our mind needs to be focused on His thoughts. There’s a place within each and every one of us who are spirit-filled where we can find the mind of Christ. You can be in both places – in the natural realm and in the spirit realm at same time and still hear Him. Now, there are times you’re going to be almost all in the natural because of things you’re dealing with, but there are times you can move all the way into the spirit realm. There you will see all kinds of things that will help you in the natural.

We’re going into places that will teach you what you were created to do in this life. We can even get to the place where we will understand what is happening in our time right now, and what God is getting ready to do.

But if you feel like you need more of God, and let me assure you that you do, then keep seeking Him. Pull upon Him with your prayers and He will give you what you need to know. You’ll experience Him on a level that you have not ever experienced before.

Pray Without Ceasing

Pray Without Ceasing

[cvm_video id=”3865″]

You must first have God’s word in you. And I’m not talking about reading the scriptures. He may lead you to the scriptures to tell you what He wants you to do, but I’m saying you need a relationship with Him where you pray without ceasing, as we read in 1 Thessalonians chapter 5.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

How do you pray without ceasing? Do we go to our knees with our heads bowed and hands clasped? No, He’s saying you keep your antenna pointed toward Him and spiritual dial tuned into Him at all times, whether you’re driving, you’re talking or walking; no matter whatever you’re doing. That takes time to learn how to do this. Once you spend a lot of time with Him you’ll find out how. You’ll get to the place where the only times you break down and pray like you use too is when you really need Him bad, like right now. All the other times you know He is with you.

You may be a plumber going through Home Depot and, all of a sudden, you stop and wonder “why am I looking at this piece of equipment? I don’t need that.” And you go on your way. You drive back 30 miles to where you came from, where the job is, and all of a sudden you realize you need that part. You should have picked it up! How many times has that happened to you? It’s the Holy Ghost telling you, Spirit to spirit. Get it! Those are the little things that add up to bigger blessings. Pray without ceasing.

Prayer is a place of being with God. It’s not a thing we do; it’s a thing that happens to us. Pray to ask God what He wants you to do; don’t pray to tell God what to do. Please! He’ll just mess up your life if He does what you say to do because He knows your needs better than you do. He knows our needs even before we ask (ref. Matthew 6:8), so maybe we need to start asking Him what He wants us to do, and how He wants us to do it.

A lot of times we’ll pray, “God, I need something.” Or “God, I need to get healed.” What you need to do is say, “God, how do I get this thing need taken care of?” Then let the revelation come to you. You need to walk under that pillar of fire by night and a cloud by day. Then you’re under His protection at all times. The grace of God is a good thing! But you’ve got to be willing to listen to Him. We’re saved by grace through faith, which is the gift of God (ref. Ephesian 2:8).

In other words, if you want to get saved from a certain situation today, you’d better have faith to hear what God has to say. Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

You won’t believe it unless you experience it yourself. The point is not just to tell you about this, not just to give you my stories and testimonies, but to reveal the knowledge so that you may be activated into this new way, God’s way, all the way. So, you receive all that God has for you. I am attempting to fan that spark inside of you that will give you the ability to know of things to come, to be able to look around the corner of tomorrow and be prepared for where you need to be, for what you need to say and what you need to do. It’s important!

I used to be a bank president. A lot of times I’d have customers that would come in that wouldn’t want to go to the teller. They’d want to come to me. One time this fellow had come in and started talking to me; he was one of our loyal customers. I kind of read between the lines of what he was wanting as he slid his checkbook across my desk. He said, “I need about $750. My wife wants to go skiing and we have never done that so we’re going to try it. So, we need to buy some skis and stuff.” Then he just started talking. I knew right then he couldn’t read or write, so I took his checkbook and started filling it out. Without saying a word, I just pushed it back and he made his little mark and sent it back to me. I pulled the check out and called the secretary in so she could go and cash it. We were talking and I said, “Now let me ask you a question. How did you get so much money?”

He said, “Well my dad just told me I was going to be a ditch-digger, so when I got out of school in the third grade I started digging ditches.”

I said, “Yeah, but now you’ve got all this heavy equipment and machinery that costs millions of dollars!”

“Yeah, yeah,” he said. “Well I just got this gut feeling one day that if I’d go out there and start digging these holes down these trenches and laying some line, that could work.” He had built a subdivision. Then that subdivision sold out really quickly, and he went and built another one, and another one, and another one. Then he started contracting for the government.

But we missed something real important there: He said, “I just had that gut feeling.” How many times has the Holy Spirit been called a “gut”? Really! “I just had that unction” or, “Oh, I just kind of knew that if I did it nobody would believe me. But when I stepped out and did it, it worked.” That’s not you; it’s the Holy Spirit.

We’ve got to be careful not to become rodomontade. “Look how big I am! Look how smart I am! Look what I’ve done!” All you did was obey the Holy Spirit and He commanded His angels to go make it all happen. That’s all you need to do to get ahead in this life, is to pray, hear and obey. He did all the forecasting, he did all the preparation. He did everything to make it fall into place just for you. You need His word working every day of your life!

Purpose, Process, Promise

Purpose, Process, Promise

[cvm_video id=”3814″]

When God called me into the ministry, I didn’t want to go. It was 1976. In July I asked God, “What do you want me to do for You?” He didn’t hesitate. He told me to read Ezekiel 33, so I started reading that chapter and I read that you’ve got to warn the people because if you don’t then when the sword of the Word comes on those people and their blood is shed then their blood will be on your hands. But if you tell the people and they don’t listen, then the blood will be on their own hands.

I was a Baptist then, so all I knew about was getting people saved. I thought God was saying I’ve got to save the whole world, but how was I going to do that? I was ignorant. I didn’t know the things of the Spirit. Especially when it got to verse 33 of Ezekiel 33. “And when this comes to pass-surely it will come-then they will know that a prophet has been among them.”

That really threw me. A prophet, what is that? Needless to say, every time I heard the call of God on my life, I’d envision myself leaning over some wooden pulpit wearing a moth-eaten sport coat, speaking a hard or dry word. I didn’t want to do that, I was a banker and wanted to stay a banker until I was the president of the bank! I had a lot of things to do. I was going places, doing things, and it was fun! I didn’t want to be a prophet, but God has His way. Your going God’s way one way or the other. The hard way is not the way go; I highly suggest you be obedient on His first call.

Ten years I ran from the call, then God one day jerked the rug out from under me and I feel hard I was crying out to God, “Please God let me serve you! I’ll do whatever you say!” And it still took a couple of years before He respond back to me. If you reject Him, He will reject you. But He is merciful and He has a lot more grace and forgiveness than you or I, so He cut me some slack and knocked off 8 years and I did not have to wait the full 10 years that He waited for me. And so, I began the journey and now I would never ever trade the ministry for what I had before. Serving the Lord in whatever it is you’re called to do is the most exciting thing you could ever do.

You’ll hear people saying, “We’re going to go over to Liberia” and think, “Don’t you know there is Ebola going on there?” They don’t care. If God is sending them, that’s where they are going. You may think they’re nuts! But once you know what it’s all about, you just get out of the way and let God have His way, because where He sends you He’ll take care of you. He’ll line up people to finance you. He’ll do everything you need to do His work.

You know, doing God’s work isn’t always about ministry either. When I was a banker, I was doing what God called me to do. It was a miracle that I was even in banking! I was bad at Math, Algebra and all the course pertaining to being a bank president. So, I don’t know how I ever got there. I started out in the mail-room sorting mail and in 10 years I was a bank president. How does that work? Only God! God has people in all areas of life and when you find your place with God and you are doing what He wants you to do your life is complete. It doesn’t matter what He has for you to do.

That’s what I hunger for, to see people find their niche with God. Where do you fit in the Kingdom and the Body of Christ? It is vast! And God is moving people through all different streams of life. He’s taking people out of nothing and turning them into a testimony that just shocks people because of what they are doing now. You look into your spiritual rear-view mirror of your past to see where you have come from and where God’s got you now you’ll just be shaking your head in awe. How can this be?

I tell you these things so you may know that God has a purpose for giving you a word. And when you receive that word, there’s a process you will go through before you see the promise of His word fulfilled. Nobody wants to go through the process; everybody wants to go from the purpose to the promise, but you can’t do it that way because a lot of the process is about shaping and molding and preparing you for what He’s about to bestow upon you, what He’s about to entrust you with. There are so many things God wants to do for you and through you.

Some of you are still going through that process, and you’re getting closer and closer to the promise. Just let God do what He’s going to do. Don’t try to help him or get in His way. And don’t go sharing it with everybody because not everybody is going to understand it. In fact, Joseph made that mistake and wound up in the bottom of a well, sold into slavery. It’s best just to keep it between you and God and maybe a few very close friends or family.

It doesn’t take much to get out of line with God. Sometimes He gets furious about things that we think are nothing. But it just doesn’t matter – if He says He wants you there that means He wants you there. He chastens those whom He loves. And His paddle can come out of nowhere, designed in a way that you would have never thought of! When pain is inflicted by Him, you’ll know it. Some folks will say, “God doesn’t do that.” Um, they had better read the bible again. They’ll say that’s all Old Testament stuff. No, it’s not. You can find where the Holy Spirit put words upon a king and He killed him in Acts 12:21-23. “So, on a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat on his throne and gave an oration to them. And the people kept shouting, ‘The voice of a god and not of a man!’ Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died.”

We can also read in Revelation of those who were prophesying and the water would turn to blood. They would prophesy famines upon the world. What kind of Christianity is this? It’s warfare, not just in the soul but right in front of you. It’s like the terrorist of today who are trying to kill us it’s up front and personal.

There are days coming like those of Moses and Aaron standing before Pharaoh, power against power. That’s where we are headed, like Elijah standing before 450 prophets and calling fire down from God (1 Kings 18). He went up against those who said they had spiritual powers in doing all of their chanting and incantations. But in all their sacrificing and all that they did – the wood never was lit. And that was the bargain they made: Whoever’s god comes and lights the fire – that god everybody would serve. Elijah sat there and he listened to Baal’s prophets all day long. He mocked them and made fun of them because of his assurance that God would meet him on that day because God already told him to be there.

You know, you can’t shoot somebody with a trigger pulled halfway. In Texas, we call that “half-cocked”. You’d better go in with everything you’ve got. And the only way you’re going to do that is with God’s word abiding in you and you abiding in Him. Therefore, you’ll have whatever you say. By the way, this is scriptural. John 15:7: “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”

If you come into agreement with God’s word then that is what is going to happen. If He gives you a word and you agree with Him then you will go do that word. Well, if Satan sends a word to you and you buy into it and come into agreement with it, then guess what? Unfortunately, those powers of darkness will work in your life too. So be cautious what and who you come into agreement with.

How Big is Your Spirit?

How Big is Your Spirit?

[cvm_video id=”3678″]

We live in a nation of “icon-ism”. It seems every individual is an icon to their own self, a legend in their own mind. They’re making the rules and everybody has to obey. If others don’t obey they will be called out! This is not God’s way. If you conduct yourself in such fashion you will not find others supporting your arrogance.

We’re walking into a time now when we are going to find ourselves up against the wall like we’ve never been before. I’m not talking about just the issues that we deal with in our finances, our health, or not having provision. We see many people doing without a lot these days, but right now I’m talking about the manifestation of something much greater, something eviler than you have ever imagined. The power of a human being possessed by the devil is a very dangerous thing. “He who is in me is greater than he who is in the world!” (1 John 4:4). But how big is He in you? It’s about your body, soul, and spirit; we need more knowledge and wisdom about our spirit.

We work here on Earth in the body. We show ourselves before God while in the body. But what are we thinking about? What is our mind focused on? What are we letting come into our mind through the eye? We let a lot of things come through that should not be let through. Those things will affect you! People say, “It doesn’t matter what we watch on T.V. Our government says it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t affect anybody.” Well, I want to know why a company would pay over 7 million dollars for 30 seconds of time on TV advertisement during the Super Bowl. Why would they do that? Because it persuades! It convinces people, sometimes even to do stupid things. How many times have you watched the television and all of a sudden a commercial for ice cream or cookies comes on? You begin to salivate and you start taking an inventory in your mind, like “What do we have in the cabinet? What’s in my freezer?”

What are we going to let persuade us in life? We don’t think it’s any big deal. We think, “Oh, I’m doing a good thing, doing the right thing; I’m going to church.” But there’s more to it than just making our presence known in the Body. That’s a good start, but we’ve got to move forward with renewing the soul. We’ve got to let our minds not only be renewed to the things and the ways and will of God, but we must begin to focus on those things to know when it IS God and when it IS NOT God.

Finally, we arrive at the last element of ourselves, the spirit. The one thing we talk the least about. Oh, we talk about the Holy Spirit! We talk about the presence of the Holy Spirit, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the move and flow of the Holy Spirit, the river of the Holy Spirit. But what about YOUR spirit? What do you know about your spirit? It is the third part of your being. It is that which you need to find the power to possess you with His good, with His love, with His power to overcome the evil that is coming at us. It is what tells you the difference between your thoughts and His.

How many times have you been moving in a direction and didn’t really know why? But then when you got there you realized “Ah-ha! I would have lost a lot of time; I’d have lost a lot of money if I hadn’t been here at the right time or place.” How beneficial is it for those who are investing, or buying or selling, to be at the right place at the right time? It’s treacherous in the world of economics today. It vacillates. It is difficult to be able to know what to invest in these days. We thought that if we had poured all of our money into our homes that we would be safe! But that has proved to be wrong.

It is not enough to know who God is to be saved. No, you need His Spirit living within you. You need His guiding light before you. You need His word before you that will shed the light upon the path on which you are going. To know if it’s God or if it’s not you need to find that place of prayer so you can begin to feed the spirit inside of you. Then you will begin to empower yourself to know that He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. Only then can you face that demonic being manifesting in this world.

We are already seeing it! We see the manifestation in a lot of places, in a lot of things. But now it is coming after us. Those who call themselves atheists aren’t just sitting around saying they just don’t believe. No, they are organizing. They are uniting and building forces. That’s just the beginning. And here the church is still squabbling over pews, hymnals and music – things that shouldn’t make that much of a difference, really.

My point is you’ve got to find out what God has for you. You need to know what He wants to do with you. Because once you find that out, you’re locked in on a course where the evil one can’t touch you. It says so in 1 John 5:18-20, “We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Identity of the Human Form

Identity of the Human Form

[cvm_video id=”3617″]

God is about to empower you with something that will give you the ability to not fear anything in this life. You can now know all things to come, because Jesus Christ is about to reveal Himself on a level that we have never seen before.

We are going to begin in an area that could bring about a drastic change in your theology. It will also stretch your faith and direct you to the identity of your roots. We’re going to be talking about the Body, the Soul, and the Spirit, those things that our Lord desires us to know more about in this time especially.

We will begin to lay down a foundation that will give you some footing to know how to make it over that mountain. Whenever your faith seems weak, whenever the trials and tribulations seem great, the Lord will give you the ability to find the source and the answers to those things you have need of in order to conquer all that the world throws at you.

1 Thessalonians 5:17-23 says,
Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast to what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

How many of us want to be blameless before the Lord Jesus Christ? He’s talking about three parts of you as a human being. He’s talking about your body, an obvious part of all of us. He’s talking about your soul. Most people get confused when speak about the soul because they think it’s the same thing as your spirit, but it’s not. Your soul is your mind, your will, and your emotions. That’s where the battleground is in spiritual warfare, and that’s where most people start making their mistakes. They begin to meditate on things and they think it is okay to think on them as long as they don’t act upon them. Wrong!

Jesus taught that if you so much as think upon it you will do it (ref. Matthew 5:28). Premeditated murder doesn’t start with an accident. It starts with a thought. And you nurture that thought until it creates the manifestation of that which is evil. So don’t think that you are fooling God, and that you’re protected as long as you keep it in your soul – your mind, will, and emotions. If you think on it long enough, it will possess you. It will take over and you will lose total control, and when you finally snap out of it you’ll realize that you don’t even know how you got to where you are.

I don’t know if you’ve ever listened to these programs about people who have found themselves in a sinful situation. They did something they wished that they’d never done. They allowed it to start by those things that are forbidden for Christians, such as anger, hate, and vengeance. These things that we may sometimes want to do which we were supposed to have died to in the flesh. Do not think just because you are not acting out your sinful thoughts does not mean you are sin free. For if you continue to think upon doing something sinful you will eventually commit the sin; for it will take hold and posses you.

The body profits you nothing! Many people focus all upon the body, especially those who are looking for a mate. Just because they find somebody who looks good and is appealing to them does not mean their marriage will work. We’re supposed to be led by the Spirit in all things. And what the Spirit brings together no man can take apart. Too many people today are married in the flesh, the lust of the flesh, and just because they were married in a church does not sanctify their marriage. Just because they have a piece of paper that says “Marriage License” does not make it official in the eyes of God. What He is looking for is a person who is willing to be led to that person that he has so selected that they may find harmony and peace in life.

I could spend a long time talking about marriage counseling and about those who have found the wrong mate and also about those who are looking for a mate. We have a lot of people write in for a prophetic word from God. The very first question is usually regarding a mate; the second one is about finances, and the third one is concerning God’s will. A lot of times, those people get what God says and then they say, “Well I’m going to order another one because I didn’t like that one!” It doesn’t work that way. God does not line up with you. He does not allow you to restore His mind to be equal with yours. It’s the other way around!

All Things Hidden Will be Revealed

All Things Hidden Will be Revealed

[cvm_video id=”3622″]

It was almost 11:00 PM on a clear spring night in 1988. I was on my way to work at the all-night Texaco Gas & Food Mart located in Southlake, Texas, a suburb of Fort Worth, when I saw a large dark form in the sky. I stopped my pick-up and got out to look at what I initially thought was just a figment of my imagination. There was a huge craft moving very slowly a couple hundred feet over the tree line. It was flat black in color (ref. 2 Samuel 22:10) and had faint colored lights in its underbelly that dimmed off and on in a pulsating rhythm. (ref. Psalms 18:11-12). The lights were not bright. They did not even look like lights. I cannot describe their likeness because I have never seen anything like them before or since. The vessel (ref. 2 Samuel 22:11) had three tiers. The first tier was about five hundred feet long and approximately three hundred feet wide. Its shape was like a half circle that had the outer ends stretched back, taking the form of an ocean dwelling sting-ray (ref. 2 Samuel 22:12). Connected by a shaft just above it was a smaller platform that had the same shape. It was connected in such a way that it was at an angle behind and above the open area of the lower tier. The third tier was much smaller, extending far behind and above the second and first tier in a stair step formation. I heard music that was incomparable to anything I had ever heard before. The music and foreign sounds were coming from the lower tier. I could not see anyone, but I knew that on the top level sat a being that was looking out over the city. The enormous craft gently floated along blocking out the light from the moon and the stars as it flew over the city. I had stopped and stood outside my vehicle for a minute and then the craft begin to start gathering momentum after making a complete stop. Then in a flash the craft was gone. A small vapor trail followed it, as it left the atmosphere. The glowing trail it left behind vanished into the night as quickly as it had appeared.

I honestly thought I was losing my mind. The most sensible thing for me to do was not tell anyone about what I had seen. As I worked through the night thought about what I had seen. I always took my Bible to work so I began to search for an explanation of what it could have been. One scripture I found was in Ephesians 6:12.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12).

The vessel I saw was black like darkness and it was located in the heavens above, so I thought it had to be satan riding around looking for someone to devour. Whatever it was, I knew I could not tell anyone until I had uncovered the mystery of this sighting? Before this event I did not believe in these types of things. Today this vessel is no longer a mystery in my mind, because it has been identified biblically.

At 7:00 AM the morning shift worker came to relieve me. This fellow was not a Christian. I made every attempt to converse only on a business level with him. His language was foul and vulgar; he cursed every other word. I did not care to listen to him talk. However, on this particular morning he caught my attention. He said, “Man, did you see that space ship last night?” I froze in my tracks and asked him to repeat himself. I could not believe what I was hearing. He said, “Yeah man, it was even broadcast over the radio about a weird sighting over by the airport.” Hearing that he had seen it also and that it had been reported on the radio helped me know that I was not crazy. I now thought it had to be satan riding on this unknown craft because of the sources of confirmation.

As I drove home, I began to ask the Lord what we had seen. How was I able to hear the music and who was sitting on the top platform? Over the course of the next few months, I continued to ask the Lord for understanding about what I had seen that night. I knew that in the Bible it was recorded that Jesus said, “There is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light.” (ref. Mark 4:22) Well, I desperately needed the light of revelation straight from the Lord on this matter. I knew not to ask any minister about what I had seen. They would surely think I had fallen out of my tree.

About eight months later, as I was praying one morning, the Holy Spirit told me that He was going to give me a gift on my birthday. Well, you can image all of the material things I envisioned the Holy Spirit was going to give me. It was just a few days until my birthday, so I was able to contain my thoughts and excitement to some degree. However, by the time my birthday came around, I had forgotten all about the gift the Holy Spirit had promised me. After prayer each morning, I would spend an hour or more reading my Bible. The morning of my birthday I was led by the Spirit to read Psalm 18. As I began to read the Holy Spirit said, “This is your birthday present.” I thought to myself, “WHAT! How can this be my birthday present? I cannot see anything here for me.” Then the Holy Spirit began to teach me, bringing back to my remembrance the night I saw the huge black craft. Below are the scriptures that God used to identify the unidentified flying object.

The earth shook and trembled; The foundations of the hills also quaked and were shaken, Because He was angry. Smoke went up from His nostrils, and devouring fire from His mouth; COALS were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also, and came down With DARKNESS under His feet. And He rode upon a CHERUB, and FLEW; He flew upon the WINGS of the wind. He made DARKNESS His secret place; His canopy around Him was DARK waters and thick CLOUDS of the skies. From the brightness before Him, His thick clouds passed with HAILSTONES and COALS of FIRE” (Psalm 18:7-12).

This may not seem like much to you, but just to know that what I had seen was not satan’s space craft, knowing this gave me great peace. To realize that I had a glimpsed of the same CHERUB that David had seen made me feel very honored. It was not by accident that the Lord mentioned so many times in these verses the darkness of His vessel. This reassured me that it was the Lord sitting upon the third platform of the craft (Ref. 2 Samuel 22:11) and that on the lower tier, the angels were praising Him in their heavenly language. I will never forget the sound of the praise and worship I heard coming from His cherub. The Holy Spirit continued to show me in the remainder of this chapter that David was surrounded by his enemies and was in need of a miracle. This is when the Lord came down from His throne like a screaming eagle riding upon His cherub sending fire like a laser from the glowing coals located under the belly of the craft. (ref. 2 Samuel 22:13-15) Destroying David’s enemy in this manner, the Lord revealed Himself in a way that few have ever seen. Plucking David from the battle ground and drawing him up to ride on the cherub delivering him to a safe place. (2 Samuel 22: 17-18)

Even though the Holy Spirit had so clearly taught me these things from Psalm 18, I still had the audacity to ask Him to confirm what He had just shown me. He said, “Go to 2 Samuel chapter 22.” There was the confirmation I needed to be sure that I was hearing from the Spirit of the Lord.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1).

II Samuel 22:1-18:
He bowed the heavens also, and came down with darkness under His feet. 11. He rode upon a cherub, and flew; and He was seen upon the wings of the wind. 12. He made darkness canopies around Him, dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.”

13. “From the brightness before Him coals of fire were kindled. 14. The LORD thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered His voice. 15. He sent out arrows and scattered them; lightning bolts, and He vanquished them. 16. Then the channels of the sea were seen, the foundations of the world were uncovered, at the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils.”

17. “He sent from above, He took me, he drew me out of many waters. 18. He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me; for they were too strong for me”

Comments:
All things hidden will be revealed. God’s timing is not our timing. You must wait upon the Lord for the revelation. But He will reveal all things if you have the ear to hear the Spirit.

Do you have faith in our Lord to wait for the answers to your questions? Do you know that our Lord is in control and has all the answers? The Lord is waiting upon us to seek Him for all things we face in this life.

The question is not if He will answer you but will you seek Him for the answers. The question is not if He is ready but are you ready? All things hidden will be revealed. Are you ready for your revelation?

The Law and the Prophets

The Law and the Prophets

[cvm_video id=”3547″]

As children we were taught the Golden Rule, that we should treat others the way we would want to be treated. This is an effective tool to help youngsters understand basic reciprocity in relationships at a time when they still haven’t developed the ability to fully empathize with others. But the Golden Rule is actually a soft form of the spiritual law that we should do unto others what we would have done unto us.

Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets“(Matthew 7:12).

Playing nice with classmates on the playground and gaining a group of friends might be the intended goal of many parents and teachers who teach the Golden Rule but it would be difficult for children to understand the point of being kind if they are not receiving immediate positive results. Adults also struggle with being loving to others when their expected return on investment isn’t fully realized in a timeline they find appropriate. Many Christians get frustrated with God for not “keeping up His end of the bargain” and feel as doing God’s Will isn’t worth their time or effort.

They are confusing this spiritual law with giving to receive which is expressed in the Latin phrase “do ut des” (I give that you might give). This formula was a key aspect of the Roman religious’ system that you must offer sacrifices to receive favor from the gods. Still maturing Christians mistakenly believe that by reciting specific prayers, giving offerings, and practicing Biblical disciplines that God will give them “the desires of their heart”.

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass” (Psalms 37:4-5).

We must recognize that we are not in a position to try to coerce God by some kind of implied contract we have created in our minds. If we doing something we think will win God’s favor, He is not obliged to fulfill what we want Him to do. We can cry out that He isn’t being fair, but this ignores the undeserved Grace of forgiveness of our sins. He extends this Love to us as “children of the Most High, because He is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked…as our Father is merciful (ref. Luke 6: 30, 31)”.

Another aspect of this spiritual law that is difficult for us comprehend is waiting for deserved justice or rewards to come our way. Even when God has promised us blessings or positions, they will not be following our timeline or the path we want. As a young man, David was anointed by the Prophet Samuel to be the future king of Israel. There were many instances in David’s life where he had serious reasons to doubt that he would ever survive long enough to be crowned king. Reigning King Saul, not only stood in David’s way of being crowned king but was also a threat to his life, having attempted to murder him on multiple occasions.

David could hardly be blamed for wanting to help his destiny to move along, carry out God’s Justice, or to try to literally “war over his prophecy” to help it come to pass by repaying Saul with the same evil violence he had shown David. But, when given two separate opportunities to assassinate Saul, David chose to instead cut off a part of Saul’s cloak at the Cave of Adullam and then to take Saul’s spear and water jug in the wilderness of Ziph as evidence that he’d had the opportunity to kill Saul but had spared him instead. Saul was his tormentor yet David still “loved his enemy, did good to those who hated him, blessed those who cursed him and prayed for those who mistreated him” when it was hardest.

That was the core of Christ’s ministry on Earth. When asked what the greatest commandment was, He replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind,” but also explained that the second is to “Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (ref. Matt 22: 36-40). Because God loved us beyond our comprehension, we must strive to love Him in return with every aspect of our being. But this love must be expressed towards others as well. Just as He has forgiven us our sins we must extend this Love and Forgiveness towards our neighbors and especially our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Today’s society has twisted this rule to say: “Do unto other’s before they do it to you.” Believers, do not be discouraged for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to STAND! (ref. Ephesians 6:12-13)

Better to Give than to Receive

Better to Give than to Receive

[cvm_video id=”3628″]

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that you are to give all your tithes to the one church or ministry. What the Bible does say is to give unto God what is rightfully HIS! (Ref. Malachi 3:8)

How do you do that? It is easy! If you are receiving revelation from God through a ministry or church, then you have found His Spirit and that is where He wants you to sow your tithes and offerings. Think about it: if God has chosen that person to speak through, don’t you suppose that might be where He would want you to give of your material things? If the minister is good enough for God, how much more should we be willing to bless him/her?

Some Christians are confused about the way their relationship with God should operate. They feel as though God is supposed to be merciful and giving, blessing His people because they have needs that must be met. They fail to recognize their responsibility to financially support those God has provided to meet their spiritual needs.

“Do you not know that those who minister the holy things eat of the things of the temple, and those who serve at the altar partake of the offerings of the altar? Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:13,14).

If the Lord has commanded those who preach the Gospel to live from the Gospel, then we need to support those who labor in this good news. What could be the punishment for not taking care of those who are laboring for God’s word? Have you ever tried to find God after He has hidden Himself so well that you feel abandoned? In the day of the prophet Amos, a famine existed, but the famine was not of food or water but of the word of the Lord. (Ref. Amos 8:11, 12) I am sure there were still priests, prophets and kings in that day but God was not speaking through any of them. Why? Because the people became closefisted and would not give the Lord their best. As a result, they were cursed.

“Your words have been harsh against Me,” says the LORD. Yet you say, “What have we spoken against You?” You have said, “It is useless to serve God; what profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, and that we have walked as mourners before the LORD of hosts? So now we call the proud blessed, for those who do wickedness are raised up; they even tempt God and go free” (Malachi 3:13-15).

For generations, the Israelites argued that because God was not blessing them that it was not worth following His commandments and fulfilling their duties. In reality, He was constantly generous with them but because God’s messengers who brought His Word were not being taken care of, He withdrew His Voice and His blessings.

The day the Lord had me start asking the people to give something of value for a prophecy, seemed to be the same day that I started fighting my flesh. You see, I was proud and I did not want to be supported by God’s people. It made me feel out of control to depend on the people for my needs. I would rather paint houses or work at the grocery store than take money for preaching and prophesying.

I have really experienced the power in this verse of scripture that says, “It is better to give than to receive.” (Ref. Acts 20:35) Believe me, it is much easier to labor in physical tasks and receive a regular paycheck than to earn your wages from spiritual labor. Once you have been humbled to depend upon the people for your livelihood, you realize that you have given up the freedom to do as you want and say whatever you will. You become much more responsible to the people God sends your way and will find yourself praying much harder for their wealth, health and sound mind, because you are much more committed and reliant on them.

These attacks are not our battles to fight; God defends His own. My family and I tried very hard to do what God told us to do, and that was not always what others wanted us to do. I asked the Lord over and over again, “Why do we have to ask the people to give in order to receive.” He has responded many ways, but each time He has not wavered in His reasoning. He once said, “Son, the Gospel is not free; it cost me My life!” Another time He responded to my plea with these words, “Son if they have nothing invested in the word they receive, it will be worthless to them.” On another occasion the Lord said, “The Gospel is not free; it will cost you this life in exchange for life eternal.”

At a time when I became very stressed over finances the Lord said to me, “Son, do not take this life too seriously, for this is not it!” After hearing the Lord’s words so many times, I have learned to become very firm in the way we handle things in this ministry, for it is His ministry we are entrusted with. Now when we receive hate mail or rebukes for asking for the financial support, it just makes me more determined to preach the truth about the spiritual law of giving and receiving.

“It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God'” (Matthew 4:4).

The devil has worked overtime to convince a large portion of God’s people to disregard the exchange of spiritual things for monetary gifts. The Bible is the book of Truth and it fully supports the spiritual law of exchange. Of course, giving just to give does not always produce God’s rewards and blessings. We need to make sure that we are supporting the church or ministry that is manifesting God’s Truth and blessings in your life.

Something Material for Something Spiritual

Something Material for Something Spiritual

[cvm_video id=”3630″]

The exchange of something material for something spiritual is another law which rules our spiritual lives. It is not how much you give, but to whom you give that is important, as this affects whether you receive blessings or curses.

You can give a psychic a twenty-dollar bill for a reading and receive a curse. On the other hand, you can give to God’s prophets and ministers and receive a blessing. Let us not stop there. We must also understand that this spiritual law is only in effect if the one ministering accepts your monetary gift.

Apostle Paul goes into great length explaining to the saints in Corinth about this spiritual law. In the end, unfortunately, at the end of his message he robs them of their blessing by not accepting their offering. (Ref. 1 Corinthians 9:12)

Whoever goes to war at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk of the flock” (1 Corinthians 9:7)?

Many Christians today have set up boundaries for giving that do not line up with scripture. In fact, there is a large number of Christians who believe that if you minister, you should do it without any monetary return. It appears that the church at Corinth, in Apostle Paul’s day, had the same problem. This is why he goes into such great length to bring the church back in line with scripture. He is basically asking that if one plants wheat, does he not eat of the wheat, or if he raises sheep does he not eat of its meat, or if he has goats does not drink of their milk?

It costs a lot of money to fight back the spirit of darkness. The price of publishing, materials, postage, travels, and Internet expenses are tremendous. The last thing we need is to waste time and finances trying to convince Christians of this spiritual truth. You cannot have churches or ministries if the people are not willing to support them.

Do I say these things as a mere man? Or does not the law say the same also? For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it oxen God is concerned about? Or does He say it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written, that he who plows should plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope” (1 Corinthians 9:8-10)

You do not have to be a prophet or spiritual to understand this spiritual law of exchange. If you have an ox that labors to grind out the seed for your bread, would you keep all of the grain for yourself? No! Any halfway intelligent person would know that if you do not share the seed of the grain with the oxen, he will starve to death. Then you would not have oxen to tread out the grain for you.

Jesus answered him (the devil), saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God‘” (Luke 4:4).

Unfortunately, even in the closing of this 20th century, we still have Christians who want to starve those who are grinding out the word and revelation of God. Without the bread of life we will become spiritual beggars falling to the ground dry and hungry for God and His word. It seems to be no problem for the majority of people to live under the monetary rule of exchange when it comes to receiving food, entertainment and other earthly pleasures. They think nothing of giving their hard-earned money for food, medication or even a movie, but then these same people struggle when giving to the ministers of the Gospel.

If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it a great thing if we reap your material things” (1 Corinthians 9:11)?

Some say they cannot trust the ministers with their money. Does this mean they can trust the grocer, the doctor, the lawyer and everyone else but God’s ministers? What a minister offers cannot always be seen in the same manner as what you brought home in the grocery bag or the pharmacist’s bottle. Do not be fooled by what you cannot see, for what is spiritual is eternal and you cannot purchase it; you can only support it.

If you are being blessed by one minister, but give your tithes and offerings somewhere else, you are committing a spiritual crime by denying your blessing to the one who brought you spiritual growth. Over the years I have heard of people sneaking off from the church they regularly attend, to hear another preacher. However, even though they were blessed by this new preacher’s message and ministry they left all their tithes and offerings at their original church. I prayed about this and asked the Lord for wisdom and He put it to me this way, “Do you take from the shelf at K-Mart and then go pay Walmart for the product because that is where you have shopped at the longest?”

We find this happening all over the body of Christ, and as a result some of God’s oxen are being muzzled. When those who tread the grain and provide you with spiritual nourishment are denied the ability to meet their material needs, they will not be able to continue their work and the supply of spiritual blessings will instead be replaced by curses because the people valued the material over the spiritual.
